Man arrested for spreading anti-State propaganda

Ho Chi Minh City police said on June 13 that they had detained Le Huu Minh Tuan, a resident in central Quang Nam province, for making, storing, spreading information, materials, items for the purpose of opposing the State of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam under Article 17 of the Penal Code.
HCM City (VNA) – Ho Chi Minh City police said on June 13 that they had detainedLe Huu Minh Tuan, a resident in central Quang Nam province, for making,storing, spreading information, materials, items for the purpose of opposingthe State of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam under Article 17 of the PenalCode.

Theinvestigation agency said the arrest was made on June 12 in connection with theinvestigation of the case of making, storing, spreading anti-State information,materials, items by Pham Chi Dung and accomplices.

The policealso conducted a house search and seized many documents and material evidence relatedto Le Huu Minh Tuan’s illegal acts.

Last month, HCMCity police also arrested Nguyen Tuong Thuy, born in 1950 and residing in ThanhXuan district, Hanoi, in connection with the Pham Chi Dungcase.

The police of HoChi Minh City in November2019 started legal proceedings against and arrested PhamChi Dung for making,storing, spreading information, materials, items for the purpose of opposingthe State of Socialist Republic of Vietnam under Article117 of the PenalCode.
According to the police, Dung has committed many serious anddangerous violations of laws, causing bad impacts on social stability andsecurity and order in the city./.

19 localities eradicate substandard houses

Vietnam accelerates repatriation of citizens detained in Myanmar

On April 8, 28, and May 14, three groups comprising a total of 471 citizens safely returned to Vietnam. This marked an important initial success, paving the way for additional repatriation efforts later this month, with the goal of bringing all remaining Vietnamese citizens stranded in Myawaddy, Myanmar, back home as soon as possible.
