Maritime exhibition underway in HCM City

The fourth international maritime exhibition opens on March 5 at the Tan Binh Exhibition and Convention Centre in HCM City’s Tan Binh district.
The fourth international maritime exhibition opens on March 5 at theTan Binh Exhibition and Convention Centre in HCM City’s Tan Binhdistrict.

The three day International Marine and OffshoreExhibition or INMEX Vietnam 2013, formerly known as Maritime Vietnam,aims to represent the country as an emerging market for the maritimeindustry in Southeast Asia.

The exhibition brings together thelatest products and technology in shipbuilding, maritime engineering,offshore engineering and technology and ports and logistics.

Itsees the participation of about 300 companies and brands from 16countries and territories, including Vietnam, China, Germany,Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Malaysia, theNetherlands, Norway, Poland, Russia, Singapore, Thailand,Turkey and the US.

Co-hosted by Informa Exhibitions andVietnam Trade Fair & Advertising Joint Stock Company, the event isexpected to improve networking opportunities, capture visitor interestand encourage inter-action in the Vietnamese maritime businesscommunity.

With a coastline of more than 3,260 kilometres, Vietnam has huge potential in shipping and other sea-related services.-VNA

Over 60% of long-stalled projects have obstacles resolved

Of the 8,002 long-stalled projects, 4,938 completed the settlement of obstacles in line with conclusions of the Party Central Committee and resolutions of the National Assembly and Government, as well as relevant Government decrees and guiding documents as of July 20, up 564 projects from the previous month.

Vietnam Railways Corporation becomes Vietnam National Railway Group

The group inherits all rights, obligations and responsibilities of the Vietnam Railways Corporation in accordance with the laws on railways, enterprises, and management and investment of state capital in enterprises, and other relevant legal provisions, as well as existing agreements, documents and contracts signed with related parties in accordance with the law.

Vietnam, New Zealand seek new impetus for trade ties

The state visit to New Zealand by General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee and President To Lam is expected to provide fresh impetus for market opening, removal of trade barriers and stronger economic links following the elevation of bilateral relations to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in February 2025.

Ho Chi Minh City to integrate IoT into smart transport infrastructure

To promote IoT application in smart transport, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Chairman has assigned the Department of Construction to lead the deployment of IoT in the construction, management, operation and maintenance of transport infrastructure. The department will also review and propose integrating IoT sensors and smart monitoring devices into transport construction, renovation and upgrading projects across the city.

ITE HCMC 2026 to connect Vietnam's tourism with the world

From its early editions in 2005-2010, which attracted around 210 exhibitors and 120 international buyers from 18 countries, ITE HCMC has grown significantly. Vietnam-China rail link prioritised to boost trade
