A collective grave of 164 martyrs who laid down their lives during the anti-US resistance war has been found in Tan Hoa commune, Tan Chau district, southern Tay Ninh province.

The martyrs were soldiers of Regiment 165 of the Army Corps 4’s Division 7, who died during a fight against Saigon puppet troops in Tong Le Chan (Can Le), Tan Chau district on August 7, 1967.

The grave was found after five field surveys jointly conducted by an information centre for seeking lost remains of martyrs under the Vietnam Martyrs Families Support Association, the Army Corps 4, the Tay Ninh Military Command and veterans of Regiment 165.

The remains of all the martyrs were then re-buried at the Ho Chi Minh City Martyrs’ Cemetery.-VNA
