Medal awarded to Vietnam-based TASS chief representative

The Vietnam News Agency (VNA) on November 13 presented the State’s Friendship Medal to Denhisovich Yuri Aleksandrovich, Chief Representative of the Russian News Agency TASS in Vietnam, for his contributions to the friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

At the presentation ceremony in Hanoi, VNA GeneralDirector Nguyen Duc Loi said Aleksandrovich has actively engaged incooperation activities between VNA and TASS, and believed in thejournalist’s greater achievements in his career to help deepenfriendship among peoples in the world, particularly between Vietnam andRussia.

Expressing his honour to receive the noble reward of theVietnamese State, Aleksandrovich pledged to do his utmost to strengthenthe countries’ strategic comprehensive partnership and nurture the twopeoples’ amity.

With his fluent Vietnamese and profoundunderstanding of the country’s law and culture, the Russian reporterpublished stories reflecting Vietnam comprehensively, contributing topromoting the friendship, partnership and mutual understanding betweenthe two countries.

Over the past years, VNA and TASS haveeffectively conducted the exchange of information, delegations andreporters, assisted each other’s correspondents, and cooperated atregional and international forums.-VNA
