As many as 350 pharmaceutical and medical businesses from 30 countries and territories are showcasing their products at the 20th Vietnam International Hospital, Medical and Pharmaceutical Exhibition (VIETNAM MEDI-PHARM) that opened in Hanoi on May 8.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Deputy Health Minister Nguyen Thanh Long said the 450-pavilion exposition introduces the latest products, achievements and technologies in the pharmaceutical and health care sector in Vietnam as well as in the world.
This is a good chance for domestic and international businesses to promote their products and access the most cutting-edge technologies of the world medicine while boosting experience sharing and international cooperation in this field, he added.
During the four-day event, there will be an array of community-targeted activities co-hosted by the organising board, the Vietnam Red Cross and other humanitarian organisations. These activities aim to raise public awareness of the new avian influenza – H7N9, poverty reduction, disaster prevention and response, and blood donation.
Workshops on legal support for businesses operating in the pharmaceutical and medical field will be held together with fact-finding tours of factories and hospitals in Hanoi .
Concurring with VIETNAM MEDI-PHARM , some other events will be also organised, including 6 th Vietnam International Hospital Exhibition (Vietnam Hospital 2013), the 2 nd Vietnam International Dental Exhibition (Vietnam Dental 2013) and the 7 th China Exhibition on Pharmaceutical and Medical Equipment (China Medi-Pharm 2013).-VNA
