Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Mai Thanh Thang said the province has 3,069 offshore fishing boats with 2,100 labourers. He stressed that the medical kits are very useful for fishermen when at sea.
Earlier, over 1,400 medical kits were gifted to fishermen in localities from Phu Yen to Thanh Hoa in central Vietnam.
In the near future, localities and organisations are striving to provide 30,000 medical kits for all the country’s offshore fishing boats.-VNA
