Hanoi (VNA) – The sub-committee on the Communist Party of Vietnam’s statutes for the 13th National Party Congress convened its second meeting in Hanoi on March 20.
Members of the sub-committee shared the view that draft documents to be submitted to the congress, slated for January 2021, have been compiled in a serious and scientific manner that matches real life circumstances.
They gave opinions on the sub-committee’s working regulations and plans, the plan to review the implementation of the Party’s statutes, and the draft reports reviewing the implementation of the Party’s statutes and Party building work during the 2016-2020 period.
Politburo member Pham Minh Chinh, head of the Party Central Committee’s Organisation Commission and also the sub-committee, spoke highly of the opinions, noting that draft documents need to be prepared thoroughly so that they can fully reflect achievements in Party building.
He said the report on Party building between 2016 and 2020 needs to show outstanding attainments in the fight against corruption and wastefulness, the Party’s administrative reforms, and the enhancement of ties between the Party and the people.
Meanwhile, the report on the implementation of the Party’s statutes and draft revisions to the statutes needs to adhere to the Party’s principles, while also make room for reforms.
Chinh asked the sub-committee’s drafting board to take in opinions to perfect the reports and submit them to the Party Central Committee as scheduled. –VNA
