Meeting seeks to promote Vietnam-RoK trade links

Potential opportunities to promote trade links between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea (RoK) were introduced at a recent meeting between representatives from the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Vietnamese community and businesses in the RoK.

During the meeting, participants were informed of Vietnam’s new industry and trade policies.

Theevent focused on opportunities for the two nations’ businesscommunities to access each others’ markets, especially after theVietnam-Korean Free Trade Agreement (VKFTA) officially takes effect.

Incentivepolicies and procedures in investment, trade, customs, export andimport as well as advantages and challenges for each field were also onthe discussion docket.

Experience in conducting business in theRoK was shared and promoting cooperation between firms in the homelandand in the RoK was discussed.

Vice President of the VietnameseCommunity in the RoK Le Thi Anh Thu said with the growing relationsbetween the two nations and the signing of the VKFTA, Vietnameseentrepreneurs in the RoK will have substantial opportunities toestablish partnerships with firms in the homeland.-VNA
