Mekong Delta cultural features highlighted

A range of activities are being held at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism to introduce the cultural space of the Mekong Delta region.

In focus are re-enactments of the Ok Om Bok (Moon Worshipping) Festival of the Khmer ethnic minority people in the Mekong Delta province of Tra Vinh.

Other activities include the introduction of cultural features of the Khmer people, including Cham Rieng Cha Pai art, which is part of the national intangible cultural heritage, and the Kathina robe offering ceremony.

Besides, the introduction of Khmer pagoda, the only one of its kind in Hanoi, will be also included in the agenda.

The event runs from October 1-30, and expects to bring an interesting cultural space from the southern region to audience in the capital./.
