Vietnam’s national men’s football team maintained its first position in Southeast Asia despite dropping three places in the World Football Federation (FIFA)’s ranking list released on June 4, according to the Vietnam Football Federation.
Vietnam, who drew with the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea 1-1 and lost 0-1 to Thailand in May, fell to from 124 to 127th place, two spots ahead of Thailand, who jumped 13 spots from 142 to 129th position.
In Asia, Vietnam was placed in 17th position, just ahead of Thailand. Iran, Japan and the Republic of Korea filled the three top places.
Germany, Belgium and Argentina lead the global ranking.-VNA
