Mexican business keen on investment in Vietnam

Almost 100 enterprises from Chiapas State in southern Mexico have affirmed their wish to establish trade relations with Vietnamese partners, especially in coffee production and processing, aquaculture and tropical fruit exports.
Almost 100 enterprises from Chiapas State in southern Mexico have affirmed their wish to establish trade relations with Vietnamese partners, especially in coffee production and processing, aquaculture and tropical fruit exports.

Addressing a recent seminar, “Doing business in Vietnam ” in Tuxla Gutierrez and Tapachula cities, representatives of Chiapas State and businesses expressed keen interest in Vietnam ’s investment and business environment. They said they will send a business delegation to Vietnam to exchange socio-economic development experiences.

For his part, Vietnamese Ambassador to Mexico Le Thanh Tung affirmed that Vietnam always creates conditions for Mexican and Chiapas State businesses to invest in Vietnam .

Two-way trade has reached a record 1.037 billion USD in 2011, he said, emphasising that Vietnam is ready to become a gateway for Mexican and Chiapas State businesses to penetrate the southeast Asian market, with its population of around 590 million.-VNA
