Hanoi (VNA) – The Ministry of Planning and Investment has been advising the Government in proposing to the National Assembly the amendment and promulgation of many important laws with a new mindset and vision, Minister Nguyen Chi Dung reported to the legislature.

The laws are expected to remove barriers and difficulties, boost decentralisation, and clarify the responsibility and authority of all-level administrations and agencies, enabling them to have greater space in investment, production and businesses, Dung said at the Q&A session on November 11, as part of the 15th National Assembly’s second sitting.

The amendment and issuance of legal documents would comprehensively impact the entire economy, thus requiring assessment of the situation in and outside the country, he said, stressing that it must match the country’s development targets and capability.

Dung added that his ministry is also coordinating with other ministries and agencies to work out solutions to outstanding difficulties and obstacles by building a law and amending 10 others, which will be submitted to the legislature in the time ahead.

Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the ministry has pooled opinions from business associations, organisations and experts at home and abroad, conducted surveys, and partnered with agencies and localities to provide timely consultations to the Government on the issuance of unprecedented policies, to support businesses, people and labourers.

The ministry hopes to receive more opinions and proposals from NA deputies to complete relevant programmes and send them to competent agencies for consideration and decision, he said./.
