Miss VN crowned Miss Eco Tourism Ambassador 2017

Vietnamese representative Nguyen Thi Lien Phuong wonthe first runner-up title at the World Miss Tourism Ambassador beauty contestwhich concluded recently in the Philippines.

The December 9 finale night of the beauty contest was celebrated with theparticipation of 50 contestants. The Vietnamese contestant’s name was announcedamong the top 21 and top 11, from where she went on to win second place.

Phuong’s title is equivalent to the Miss Eco Tourism 2017 title. The firstprize of World Miss Tourism Ambassador went to Miss Russia AlenaRaeva, while tourism ambassadors from Chile, Germany and South Africa werethe others who finished in the top five.

Phuong said she was pleased with her achievement. “I put in my best efforts notonly during the 10 days of the contest, but also for months before my firstparticipation in an international beauty pageant.”

Born in the southern province of Long An in 1994, Phuong earlier won therunner-up title of Miss Tourism Vietnam 2017 before competing in World MissTourism Ambassador.

A recently-established pageant based in the United States, World Miss TourismAmbassador 2017 is not only a beauty arena, but also a channel for promotingtourism, culture and tourism services of any country that sends a representativeto this contest.-VNA
