Mobifone’s profit hits 100 million USD in Q1

Vietnam's second largest mobile network operator, MobiFone, earned nearly 2.10 trillion VND (100 million USD) in profits during the first quarter of this year, according to VnEconomy.

MobiFone GeneralDirector Le Nam Tra said at a recent Ministry of Information andCommunications meeting that the result was about 30 percent of thecompany's target for 2015.

During the first quarter, the firmreported about 8.56 trillion VND (407.62 million USD) in turnover,reflecting a 4.6 percent year-on-year surge and representing 28.5percent of the annual quota.

Tra said the company expected toreach 9.46 trillion VND (450.48 million USD) in turnover and 1.78trillion VND (84.76 million USD) in profit during the second quarter,following the addition of about three million new subscribers.-VNA

First “green lane” durian shipment exported to China

Speaking at the opening of the Vietnam International Travel Mart (VITM) 2026 in Hanoi on April 10, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ho An Phong noted that despite challenges in 2025, Vietnam largely fulfilled its socio-economic development goals.
