MoLISA to give proposals on gifts for revolution contributors
Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam on May 31 assigned the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA) to submit proposals to President Nguyen Xuan Phuc on the presentation of gifts to people who rendered services to the nation on the occasion of the 74th War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27).

Hanoi (VNA) – Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam onMay 31 assigned the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA) tosubmit proposals to President Nguyen Xuan Phuc on the presentation of gifts to people who rendered services to the nation on the occasion of the 74th War Invalids and MartyrsDay (July 27).
The gifts is estimated to cost over 480 billion VND (20.85 millionUSD), with beneficiaries receiving presents at two levels of 600,000 VND and300,000 VND, 50 percent higher than those in the previous year.
Under the MoLISA’s proposals, HeroicVietnamese Mothers, war invalids and veterans contaminated with chemicaltoxins and losing at least 81 percent of working capacity, and relatives ofmartyrs each will get 600,000 VND.
There is also another kind of gifts with a value of 300,000 VND each, to bepresented to war invalids and veterans losing 80 percent or less of their working capability, and martyrs’ relatives./.
The central province of Thua Thien-Hue held a ceremony on July 27 to posthumously bestow the title of “Heroic Vietnamese Mother” to 12 women and present the Independence Order to four families that rendered services to the revolution.
The Prime Minister has submitted a proposal to the State President on presenting gifts to people who made contributions to the revolution on the occasion of the upcoming Lunar New Year (Tet) with a total value of nearly 518 billion VND (over 22.4 million USD).
State President Nguyen Xuan Phuc on April 29 visited some families in Hanoi whose members took part in the Ho Chi Minh Campaign, which was the peak of the General Offensive and Uprising in the spring of 1975 that led to the South Liberation and National Reunification on April 30 the same year.
The Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs plans to earmark 480.38 billion VND (20.85 million USD) for gifts to revolution contributors on the occasion of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27).
