Legal proceedings launched against Hoang Thi Hong Thai for anti-State propaganda

Thai, a Facebook user, was arrested for “making, storing, disseminating or propagandising information, documents or items against the State of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam”, as stipulated in Article 117 of the Penal Code.

Hanoi (VNA) – The Security Agency for Investigation under the Hanoi Department of Public Security has issued decisions to initiate criminal proceedings against and detain Hoang Thi Hong Thai (born in 1980), a resident of Thanh Ha urban area, Binh Minh commune, Hanoi, pending investigation.

According to the police, Thai, a Facebook user, was arrested for “making, storing, disseminating or propagandising information, documents or items against the State of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam”, as stipulated in Article 117 of the Penal Code. The decisions have been approved by the Hanoi People’s Procuracy in accordance with legal procedures.

The case is currently under further investigation and handling by the Security Agency for Investigation in line with legal regulations./.

Resettlement, site clearance for Ninh Thuan 1 nuclear plant gets underway

According to the Khanh Hoa provincial People’s Committee, the resettlement and site clearance project carries a total investment of about 6.7 trillion VND (about 255 million USD). Of the total, approximately 5.28 trillion VND is earmarked for compensation and site clearance, around 1.15 trillion VND for construction and equipment, and nearly 287 billion VND for project management, consultancy, other expenses and contingencies.

Sun PhuQuoc Airways to launch first international direct flight on March 29

Former food safety chief sentenced to 20 years for bribery
