More disabled people access vocational training

A special project designed to support people with disabilities has provided more than 44,000 disabled people with vocational training in the 2006-2010 period, according to the Employment Department under the Ministry of Labours, War Invalid and Social Affairs.

The project also helped more than 15,000 find stable jobs in the period.

Most disabled workers found jobs in handicrafts or farm work like pig and cow raising and flower planting.

In the past four years, around 180,000 disabled people have benefited from social welfare and 269,000 children with disabilities (24.2 percent of the total number of disabled children) have been able to go to school./.
