Another 89 Vietnamese workers returned home safely from Libya on August 17, reported the Department for Overseas Labour Management under the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs.

By August 16, as many as 1,290 workers had returned to Vietnam from the war-torn country.

Two more groups with a total of 38 workers are expected to come home from Tunisia and Egypt on August 18.

In the next two weeks, more will board return flights on different commercial airlines, but in small groups, as it is difficult to gather workers from different locations in Libya.

The Department for Overseas Labour Management’s statistics showed around 1,750 Vietnamese workers were employed in Libya by the end of July.-VNA
