- Party General Secretary To Lam paid his respect to President Ho Chi Minh at House 67 in the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site inside the Presidential Palace in Hanoi on December 15 morning on the occasion of 70 years since the late leader lived and worked at the Palace.

Lam offered incense to President Ho Chi Minh, the beloved leader of the Vietnamese people, who devoted his whole life to the glorious revolutionary career of the Party, nation and people. Read full story

- Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, together with the delegation of National Assembly (NA) deputies of Can Tho city, met with voters in the Mekong Delta city's Co Do district to inform them of the outcomes of the NA's eighth session and listen to their ideas and aspirations.

The PM reported that after 29.5 days of work, the eighth session successfully completed its agenda, which included 51 items across legislative, economic, and social matters. Read full story

- Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on December 15 inspected the construction of the Can Tho–Ca Mau Expressway, during which he encouraged workers at the site and directed measures to speed up the project's progress.

- All countries, regardless of size, must fully comply with the legal standards and obligations under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS), Ambassador Dang Hoang Giang, Permanent Representative of Vietnam to the United Nations, has affirmed.

He made this statement during an annual plenary discussion on oceans and the law of the sea held by the 79th UN General Assembly session in New York from December 10 - 12. The event coincided with the 30th anniversary of the convention's entry into force. Read full story

- Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel has reaffirmed his commitment to welcoming and supporting Vietnamese investors, while receiving Nguyen Van Tuan, General Director of the GELEX Group and Chairman of the Board of Viglacera Corporation, in Havana recently.

President Díaz-Canel pledged that Cuba would work to develop mechanisms and solutions to create favourable conditions for Vietnamese businesses investing in the Caribbean nation. He highlighted the sincere and friendly relationship between Cuba and Vietnam, underscoring the strong backing of both governments for investment and business cooperation between enterprises from the two countries.
