– Vietnam attracted foreign direct investment(FDI) worth 1.69 billion USD as of January 20 this year, down 19.8% annually,according to the General Statistics Office (GSO).
In the month, local authorities granted licencesfor 153 new FDI projects worth 1.2 billion USD, up 48.5% in number and 3.1times in value.Read full text

- Foreign suppliers have paid taxes worth 1.8trillion VND (76.7 million USD) via the official portal serving theiroperations in Vietnam.

– Vietnam’s consumer price index (CPI) in January edged up by0.52 % month-on-month, fueled by high consumer demand for the Lunar New Year orTet which fell in the same month, the General Statistics Office said on January29.

- According to the Foreign Investment Agency under the Ministryof Planning and Investment (MPI), Vietnam is likely to attract 36-38 billionUSD in foreign direct investment (FDI) in 2023. The figure was nearly 22.4billion USD in 2022.
