- Acting President Vo Thi Anh Xuan hosted receptions in Hanoi on May 15 for ambassadors of Armenia, New Zealand, Türkiye and Peru who came to present their credentials.

- Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly (NA) Tran Thanh Man hosted a reception in Hanoi on May 15 for André Flahaut, member of the Belgian Chamber of Representatives, Minister of State, and former President of the Chamber of Representatives.

Man affirmed that Vietnam always considers Belgium an important partner in the European Union (EU), and stressed that the multifaceted cooperation between the two countries, including parliamentary relations, has been growing fruitfully. Read full story

- The National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee on May 15 agreed to submit the document on the UK's accession to the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) to the NA for approval at the upcoming 7th session which is scheduled to start on May 20.

Speaking at the meeting of the NA Standing Committee on May 15, Vice Chairwoman of the Presidential Office Phan Thi Kim Oanh said that on February 1, 2021, the UK officially applied to join the CPTPP. During negotiations with the UK on its CPTPP accession, Vietnam has achieved its target of requesting the UK to commit to open its market at a high level to ensure compliance with the agreement's standards. - Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang received Vice President of Huawei Asia Pacific Zhengjun Zhang in Hanoi on May 15.

- A delegation of the Club of Cambodian Journalists (CCJ) led by its President Puy Kea visited and worked with the Vietnam News Agency (VNA), Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper, and the Vietnam Journalists' Association (VJA) on May 14-15.
