- Party General Secretary To Lam on November 13 chaired a working session with the sub-committee for socio-economic affairs of the 14th National Party Congress.
The meeting saw the head of the subcommittee, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, and its standing member, Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung, presenting reports on progress toward refining the draft 5-year review report that assesses the implementation of the socio-economic development strategy for 2021-2030 and outlines further orientations for 2026-2030; and on high growth scenarios for 2025 and for 2026-2030. - Peruvian President Dina Ercilia Boluarte Zegarra hosted a solemn welcome ceremony for State President Luong Cuong and a high-ranking delegation from Vietnam at the Government Palace (Casa de Pizarro) in Lima on November 13 afternoon (local time).
This is the first-ever official visit to Peru by a Vietnamese State President. It takes place at a time when Vietnam and Peru are celebrating their 30th anniversary of their diplomatic relations (November 14, 1994-2024). It is an important milestone, reflecting the positive development of bilateral relations from politics-diplomacy to economy-trade, a historic opportunity, and a driving force to further deepen the friendship and cooperation between the two countries. - State President Luong Cuong had a meeting with President of the Supreme Court of Peru Javier Arévalo Vela in Lima on November 13 morning (local time), within the framework of his official visit to the South American country.
Expressing his delight at his first trip to Peru and meeting with the highest-level leader of the judicial sector, Cuong congratulated Peru on becoming a Development Partner of ASEAN earlier this year as well as hosting APEC 2024 with a wide range of meaningful and important activities. - Vietnam considers the US a key strategic partner and prioritises expanding cooperation with the American country at the global, regional and bilateral spheres, with a higher degree of mutual understanding and trust, National Assembly Vice Chairman Nguyen Duc Hai said.

- A delegation from the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) led by Politburo member, Secretary of the CPV Central Committee and Chairman of its Commission for Internal Affairs Phan Dinh Trac, is paying a working visit to China from November 11-15 at the invitation of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee.
In Beijing, Trac met with Li Xi, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Secretary of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection; held talks with Chen Wenqing, Politburo member, Secretary of the CPC Central Committee's Secretariat, and Secretary of the CPC Central Political and Legal Affairs Commission; and had working sessions with leaders of the Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission of China. - The Party Central Committee’s Inspection Commission convened its 50th session in Hanoi from November 11-13 under the chair of its head Tran Cam Tu.
The commission said the Party Civil Affairs Board of the Transport Ministry for the 2021-2026 tenure has violated the principle of democratic centralism and working regulations, showed a lack of responsibility and loosened leadership, resulting in the ministry, many organisations and individuals breaching Party regulations and State laws in projects and bidding packages carried out by the Thuan An Group JSC. Several officials and Party members, including key ministry officials, have violated Party regulations and State laws regarding the fight against corruption, wastefulness and negative phenomena, along with the rules on the things Party members are banned from doing and on the responsibility for setting good examples.
