- General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee To Lam on November 21 held talks with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, following an official welcome ceremony held for the Vietnamese leader at the Prime Minister’s Office in Putrajaya city.

Ibrahim affirmed that Malaysia has always supported Vietnam from the early stages of its renewal process and admission to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) to its current development period. Read full story

- General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee To Lam had a meeting with Speaker of the Malaysian House of Representatives Tan Sri Dato' Johari Bin Abdul in Kuala Lumpur on November 21 as part of the Vietnamese leader's official visit to Malaysia.

Chinh stressed that although Vietnam and the Dominican Republic are half a world apart, they share a lot of similarities and complement each other. - Vietnam and the Dominican Republic have issued a Joint Statement on an official visit by Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to the Latin American country on November 19-21.

The visit aims to strengthen diplomatic relations, reinforce friendship and cooperation in various fields, and promote opportunities to enhance trade and investment activities between the two countries. Read full story

- The Party Central Committee’s Politburo and Secretariat met on November 20 to consider disciplinary actions against Party organisations and members found to have committed violations.

After considering a proposal from the Party Central Committee’s Inspection Commission, the Politburo and Secretariat concluded that Vo Van Thuong, while serving as a member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Quang Ngai provincial Party Committee in the 2010-2015 tenure; Politburo member, head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Information and Education, permanent member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat, and State President, violated Party and State regulations in performing his duties, particularly in the fight against corruption and negative phenomena. He also breached regulations that a Party member is not allowed to do and those concerning the responsibility for setting an example, leading to serious consequences, stirring public outrage and affecting the reputation of the Party and State./.
