- Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong hosted a reception for outgoing LaoAmbassador to Vietnam Sengphet Houngboungnuang in Hanoi on September 20.

The Vietnamese Party chief congratulated the ambassador on his excellentperformance during the tenure in Vietnam, and appreciated hiscontributions to implementing diplomatic activities of senior leaders, thuspromoting the effective implementation of agreements between the two Partiesand countries and deepening the Vietnam - Laos special solidarity. -  Japan's Crown Prince Akishino andCrown Princess Kiko arrived in Hanoi on September 20 afternoon, starting theirofficial visit to Vietnam on the occasion of the 50th founding anniversary ofVietnam-Japan diplomatic relations (1973-2023).

- Ho Chi Minh City hopes to be a model of local-to-local cooperation betweenVietnam and Japan, Phan Van Mai, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People'sCommittee, said at a ceremony on September 20 to mark the 50th anniversary ofthe two countries' diplomatic ties.
