Muong tours: A new experience in Ninh Binh tourism

Nho Quan district in the northern province of Ninh Binh, home to a large Muong ethnic population, has launched "Muong Tours" to attract more visitors. This initiative, led by the Thien Ha Cave Eco-Tourism Management Board and the Ninh Binh Provincial Travel Association, highlights the region's tourism potential.

The tours offer visitors a chance to explore the unique Muong culture and the stunning Thien Ha Cave, part of the Trang An Landscape Complex, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Tourists are greeted by the lively sounds of gongs and flutes performed by Muong women in traditional costumes.

Organisers encourage Muong communities to showcase their daily activities in stilt houses, giving visitors a deeper understanding of local life.

The tours also feature cooking classes, cycling, farming activities, and insights into local geology and archaeology.

This strategic move aims for sustainable tourism development while preserving the cultural heritage of the Muong ethnic group./.
