My Khe beach to host kite festival

More than 60 kite artists will take part in the Da Nang kite festival on My Khe Beach in Son Tra district on July 15-16, according to the city’s Festival and Event Organising centre.

Da Nang (VNA) - More than 60 kiteartists will take part in the Da Nang kite festival on My Khe Beach in Son Tra districton July 15-16, according to the city’s Festival and Event Organising centre.

Kite artists from Da Nang and HCM City willfly their hand-made kites in decorations and paintings of animals and oceancreatures from 9.30am to 11am and from 1pm to 6pm.

Artists will compete in a kite battle onSaturday afternoon, while kids will enjoy a free kite decoration zone on thebeach from 3.30pm to 5.30pm.

A martial arts performance will also hitthe beach this weekend.

The event’s organisers said craftsmen will showtheir kite-making skills to visitors as well as kite decoration and kiteflying.-VNA
