Hanoi (VNA) – The Myanmar Government has formed an advisory commission comprising domestic and foreign experts to implement recommendations on Rakhine-related issues set out in the final report of the Advisory Commission led by former UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan, and the Maungtaw Investigation Commission.

To ensure the effective implementation of Rakhine state-related matters, the advisory commission gathers a total of 10 local and foreign experts from related fields, including politics and diplomacy.

Meanwhile, the Myanmar Government has also asked for cooperation from the local and international community in rebuilding and resettlement efforts for conflict-torn Rakhine state.

In the latest development, all displaced people taking shelter at 31 camps in Sittway, capital of Rakhie state, have come back to their homes as the situation in the state returned to normality.

According to statistics released by the Myanmar Government, extremist terrorists launched attacks on police outposts in Rakhine on August 25, displacing many Rohingya Muslims. Around 600,000 Rohingyas from Rakhine have fled to  neighbouring Bangladesh.-VNA
