(Source: AFP) Hanoi (VNA) - Myanmar's President U Win Myint on May 28 nominated Soe Win, a well-known financial expert, as a new minister of finance and planning to replace Kyaw Win who resigned last week.
The appointment is expected to be approved by parliament this week.
In a post on its Facebook page, the parliament said President Win Myint has sent biography of Soe Win, 88, for the position of the Union Minister of Finance and Planning.
Soe Win, the managing partner of Deloitte & Touche in Myanmar, previously worked at Myanmar Foreign Trade Bank before working as a consultant on tax and investment for international corporations.-VNA
