Hanoi (VNA) - Myanmar's President U Win Myint on May 28 nominated SoeWin, a well-known financial expert, as a new minister of finance and planning toreplace Kyaw Win who resigned last week.
The appointment is expected to be approved by parliament this week.
In a post on its Facebook page, the parliament said President Win Myint hassent biography of Soe Win, 88, for the position of the Union Minister ofFinance and Planning.
Soe Win, the managing partner ofDeloitte & Touche in Myanmar, previously worked at Myanmar Foreign Trade Bankbefore working as a consultant on tax and investment for internationalcorporations.-VNA
