NA Chairman holds talks with Myanmar politician

At the talks, NA Chairman Hung said that Vietnam always maintains and develops its relations with traditional friends, including Myanmar .

Hung said he believes the visit by Myanmar’s top legislator will help to raise the level of friendship between the two peoples and the relationship between the two NAs.

He highlighted the achievements recorded by the Myanmar people in socio-political stability and economic development, as well as the country’s role in the region and international arena.

The NA leader proposed that both countries strengthen links in economics, trade, investment and socio-cultural affairs as well as legislative activities.

Myanmar ’s top legislator said his visit arms to further relations between Myanmar’s Upper House and Vietnam ’s National Assembly and bolster friendship between the two countries.

Mynt said he hopes that both NAs will work closely together on external relations.

Both host and guest briefed each other on their own country’s political and socio-economic situation and discussed bilateral relations, as well as regional and international issues of mutual concern.

They agreed to increase exchanges at all levels, especially senior-level delegations as well as set up a Parliamentary Friendship Group and increase cooperation between the offices of both legislative bodies.

They also agreed to continue cooperating and supporting each other at multilateral forums, thus enhancing mutual trust and understanding. This will lay a firm foundation for links in economics, trade and investment and other fields to expand.-VNA
