NA deputies debate special policies for HCM City’s growth

Hanoi (VNA) – Deputies at the 14th National Assembly discussed a resolution on special mechanisms and policies for Ho Chi Minh City’s development during their November 20 sitting as part of the ongoing NA’s fourth session.

Lawmakers talked the necessity and the time to apply pilot mechanisms and policies, as well as specific policies in the management of land and investment, and financial, budget regulations.

Minister of Finance Dinh Tien Dung also provided further information and clarified some issues raised by the deputies.

The same day, the deputies listened to a report on adjustments of a draft law on amendments and supplements to some articles of the Law on Credit Organisations before approving the bill.

Meanwhile, they also gave ideas on the draft law on measurement and map, focusing on the necessity of the law, format and explanation of words used in the document, as well as major principles in measurement and mapping activities.

Along with State policies on the activities, they also touched upon issues related to responsibility of different ministries in the field, the operation of measurement infrastructure and geographical database of the nation.

Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Tran Hong Ha also answered some questions of the deputies related to the bill.

As scheduled, on November 21, the deputies will have a plenary session to discuss draft revised Law on Anti-Corruption. They will cast their vote on the adoption of a draft law on adjustments and supplements to some articles of the Law on Overseas Representative Missions of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, a resolution on changing roadmap for the implementation of Resolution 88/2014/QH 13 on reforming the curriculum and textbook for general education, and the revised Law on Fisheries.-VNA
