NA deputies to discuss anti-corruption report on November 26

National Assembly (NA) deputies will discuss reports on the performance of the Chief Justice of the Supreme People’s Court, the Prosecutor General of the Supreme People’s Procuracy, as well as the progress of crime prevention, legal violations, and anti-corruption efforts for 2024 on November 26 as part of their ongoing eighth session.

Hanoi (VNA) – National Assembly (NA) deputies will discuss reports on the performance of the Chief Justice of the Supreme People’s Court, the Prosecutor General of the Supreme People’s Procuracy, as well as the progress of crime prevention, legal violations, and anti-corruption efforts for 2024 on November 26 as part of their ongoing eighth session.

On the morning, the Minister of Public Security will present a report on the prevention and combat of crimes and legal violations for 2024. The Prosecutor General of the Supreme People’s Procuracy will deliver a report on the operations of the Supreme People’s Procuracy in 2024.

The Chief Justice of the Supreme People’s Court will present a report on the court’s work in 2024. Meanwhile, the Minister of Justice will deliver a report on the enforcement of judgments for 2024.

Following these presentations, the chairperson of the NA’s Committee for Judicial Affairs will present the committee’s respective verification reports for the above-mentioned reports.

After the Government Inspector General presents the Government’s report on anti-corruption efforts for 2024, the chairperson of the Committee for Judicial Affairs will deliver the committee’s review for this report.

After that, the National Assembly Standing Committee member and chairperson of the Committee’s Ombudsman will present a report on the results of citizen petitions, complaint handling and monitoring the resolution of denouncements submitted to the NA in 2024.

The Government Inspector General will present a report on citizen petitions, the resolution of complaints, and administrative denouncements for 2024. The Chairperson of the National Assembly's Law Committee will deliver the committee’s verifications of this report.

In the morning and early afternoon, legislators will have a plenary discussion on these above-mentioned reports.

In the afternoon, they will vote to approve on the Notarisation Law (revised), the Law on Urban and Rural Planning, and the Law on Value-Added Tax (revised)./.
