The National Assembly (NA) on May 29 convened a plenary session during its ongoing fifth session to discuss draft amendments to some bills.
In the morning, NA deputies heard a report on a project to build a law on receiving citizens presented by Government Inspector General Huynh Phong Tranh.
They were also briefed of examination and verification of the above-said project by Director of the NA’s Committee on Law Phan Trung Ly.
Later, some 20 deputies from 19 provinces and cities gave speeches, focusing on amendments and supplements to the law on corporate tax.
In the afternoon, the deputies heard the NA Standing Committee’s report on revisions to a draft law on defense-security education.
On May 30, they will have a plenary discussion on the additional assessment of socio-economic performance and State budget fulfillment in 2012 and the deployment of tasks in the first months of 2013. The discussion is scheduled to be televised live.-VNA
