Hanoi (VNA) – The 43rd session of the National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee is set to take place over two and a half days on March 10–11 and March 14 afternoon in Hanoi, according to the NA Office.
During the session, lawmakers will look into the draft law on amendments and supplements to several articles of the Law on Product and Goods Quality, the draft revised Railway Law, the draft Law on Personal Data Protection, the draft Law on the State of Emergency, and the draft Law on Participation in UN Peacekeeping Operations.
Additionally, the NA Standing Committee will discuss a draft resolution on interpreting the criteria for "clean and strong Party organisations and mass organisations" as stipulated in the Law on Emulation and Commendation.
Participants will also give opinions on the explanation and revision of the drafts of the revised Law on Special Consumption Tax, the revised Law on Corporate Income Tax, and the revised Law on State Capital Management and Investment in Enterprises.
They will also comment on the 2024 land rent reduction and the issuance of a government decree regulating the land rent reduction. The review of the legislature’s 9th extraordinary session will also come under consideration.
Regarding supervisory activities, legislators will review the NA's report on the settlement of people's opinions and aspirations in February 2025./.
