NA Standing Committee to pilot immediate question-and-answer

The Standing Committee of the 14th National Assembly will pilot an immediate question-and-answer (Q&A) session during its 22nd sitting, which is scheduled to take place on March 21.

- The Standing Committee of the 14th National Assemblywill pilot an immediate question-and-answer (Q&A)session during its 22nd sitting, which is scheduled to take place onMarch 21.

According to the NA Standing Committee’s Plan No.252/KH-UBTVQH14 issued on March 1, the Q&A session will focus on two groupsof issues. Legislators are requested to make short and clear questions for nomore than one minute, while the questioned persons must answer immediately forno more than three minutes.

The first group of issues will concentrate on measures to ensure the progress, qualityand procedures of Government projects submitted to the NA; solutions to dealwith delays inthe issuance of documents stipulating the details of laws, ordinances and resolutionsof the NA and the NA Standing Committee.

How to promote law dissemination and education and to improve the efficiency oflaw enforcement will also include in the first group of issues.

The Minister of Justice will be primarily responsible for answering questionsin this group. Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh, the Minister-Chairman ofthe Government Office; the Ministers of Home Affairs, Information and Communications,and Education and Training will also answer and explain questions about relevantissues.

The second group of issues will touch on issues related to the efficiency of theapplication of science and technology in production and business to increaselabour productivity and promote socio-economic development.

The Minister of Science and Technology will be the mainanswer for this group of issues, while Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam; the Ministersof Finance, Home Affairs, Industry and Trade, Agriculture and RuralDevelopment, and Education and Training will give response to relevant issues.

Apart from members of the NA Standing Committee, the session will also be attended byrepresentatives from the National Assembly Council of Ethnic Affairs,the NA’s committees, the Standing Committee’s agencies;  the NA Office, the Party Central Committee’s Office,the State President’s Office, the Government Office, the State Audit Office,the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and relevant agencies.-VNA

Foreign policy contributes to propelling Vietnam into new era

2024 saw Vietnam significantly expanding its diplomatic activities with numerous partners and at various important multilateral forums and mechanisms.
