NA Standing Committee wraps up 34th session

The National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee wrapped up its 34th session on June 13 after three days of working.

Hanoi (VNA) – The National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee wrapped up its 34th session on June 13 after three days of working.

The committee finished the planned agenda with thorough discussions on bills and draft resolutions that will be considered at the second phase of the legislature's 7th session scheduled to take place from June 17-27 with an additional reserve day on June 28.

Concluding the 34th session of the NA Standing Committee, NA Chairman Tran Thanh Man emphasised that the bills and draft resolutions relate to many sectors and receive much attention of voters nationwide.

So, members of the NA Standing Committee discussed carefully and gave specific opinions in certain contents, he said.

Accordingly, eight bills and three draft resolutions are qualified to be submitted for the NA’s discussion and approval. They are the revised Law on Social Insurance, the Law on Defence, Security Industries and Industry Mobilisation, the Road Law, the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety, the revised Capital Law, the amended Law on the Organisation of the People's Courts, the revised Law on the Management and Use of Weapons, Explosives and Supporting Tools, and the Law on Security Guard Force.

The three draft resolutions are the NA's draft resolution on piloting supplementary development mechanisms and policies for Nghe An province; the NA's draft resolution on piloting a new model of urban administration, and specific development mechanisms and policies for Da Nang city; and the resolution on national marine spatial planning in the 2021-2030 period with a vision to 2050./.
