NA Standing Committee’s 36th session reviews IPU-132 preparations

The National Assembly Standing Committee’s 36th session will screen preparations for the upcoming 132nd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union during its 36th session from March 9-17.

The NA Standing Committee will also raise questions to Chief Judge of the Supreme People’s Court Truong Hoa Binh on the issuance of unjust verdicts and ways to correct and Minister-Chairman of the Committee for Ethnic Affairs Giang Seo Phu on the implementation of the support programme 135 designed for extremely-disadvantaged communes.

Other debates are to focus on the apparatus of the Supreme People’s Procuracy, capital invested in Tinh Phong – Dung Quat 2 road construction in the central province of Quang Ngai, and appointment and removal of ambassadors in several countries, among others.

Legislative contents include the 2016 programme on law-building and ordinance, a draft report on the revised law on Vietnam Fatherland Front and the law on promulgation of legal documents.

Also on the agenda are proposals on possible changes to the revised Laws on audit, statistics, administrative and civil litigation, and supervisory activities of the National Assembly and People’s Councils.

The committee is to consider a government’s report on establishing and adjusting administrative boundary below the provincial level and the issuance of an amended resolution on environmental protection taxation.-VNA
