Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam’s lawmakers voted to recognise the rights of people who underwent gender reassignment surgeries during a National Assembly (NA) session that took place on November 24 in Hanoi.
Regarding this particular issue, the NA Standing Committee stressed the importance of the country's laws to recognise and respond to the demands of this social group, as well as to comply with international legal standards.
