Hanoi (VNA) - Ly Hoang Nam of Vietnam has jumped to a career-high 884th in the world rankings.

The top national player jumped 32 spots over last week's ranking, after reaching the quarter-finals of the Chinese Men's Futures F1 in mid-February.

He aims to enter the top 500 world rankings this year.

Nam is currently with his teammates in Indonesia, preparing for the Davis Cup tournament that will be held from March 4 to 6.

The Vietnamese team left for Indonesia on February 25 to prepare for the first round of the Davis Cup Asia/Ocenia Zone Group II matches.

Captain Truong Quoc Bao will lead Ly Hoang Nam, Nguyen Hoang Thien, Pham Minh Tuan and Vu Artem in the tournament.-VNA
