Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung on Oct. 26 pressed the button to launch a website for the national database on administrative procedures at http://csdl.thutuchanhchinh.vn.

Witnessing the moment were Deputy Prime Ministers Nguyen Sinh Hung, Pham Gia Khiem and Truong Vinh Trong and other senior officials.

PM Dung stressed that the day marked an important milestone in the administration of the country. 64 years after the establishment of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the national database of procedures at the four levels of administration is at last easily accessible to the public.

The PM said, after more than a year of implementation, Project 30 is already halfway, fulfilling the task of publicising administrative procedures and making them more transparent to the public. He affirmed that this is momentous step forward, and a milestone for the growth of the country’s administration.

He asked ministries, sectors and localities to continue to update the database regularly to ensure that the website remains accurate and useful. He also requested that they asked them to simplify administrative procedures and press agencies disseminate information to people and businesses on the use of the website.

Project 30 is being implemented from 2007-2010 to ensure the unification, synchronicity, publicity and transparency of administrative procedures with the aim of facilitating individuals, organisations and businesses in learning about and applying the procedures.

It also aims to improve the efficiency of state management and promote socio-economic development, contributing to fighting waste and corruption, as well as creating opportunities for people to oversee the implementation of administrative procedures at agencies at all levels./.
