In its capital city of Caracas , the Venezuelan parliament opened a photo exhibition on May 4 on the Vietnamese people’s struggle, while local media focused on the April 30 Victory and celebrations in Vietnam .

On April 30, the Bolivar University held a meeting on the victory with the participation of MPs, representatives from ministries, sectors, socio-political organisations, schools and the Vietnamese community in the country.

Addressing the function, Vietnamese Ambassador to Venezuela Tran Thanh Huan affirmed the significance of the April 30 Victory and thanked Venezuela and international friends for their support for Vietnam in the past and at present.

In Vladivostok city of Russia , the Vietnamese Consulate General in coordination with relevant local agencies held a meeting and a photo exhibition under the theme “ Vietnam – Victory”.

Speaking at the meeting, Director of the Oriental Institute Prof. A. Khamtova and President of the Primorie region’s chapter of the Russia-Vietnam Friendship Association Prof. A. Sokolovski expressed their pleasures at Vietnam ’s renewal achievements and said they would try their best to continue to boost the Russia-Vietnam friendship.

On the occasion, the Oriental Institute and the Consulate General held the 6 th contest on the Vietnamese language with the participation of the institute’s students of Vietnamese study.

In Angola , the Vietnamese Embassy and the Vietnamese People Association held a get-together on the occasion.

Vietnamese Ambassador Pham Tien Nhien highlighted the significance of the victory, stressing that it was not separated from great assistance from friends and working people in the world./.
