(Photo: VNA) When the SIM cards are two-way locked, users are not able to verify theirinformation through service providers’ applications and websites, but insteadhave to bring their personal identification documents to the carriers’transaction points to complete the process.
The action follows a plan of the Ministry of Information and Communications tomanage subscriptions and eradicate unverified SIM cards, spam calls andmessages, while preventing risks to mobile phone users.
Subscribers with unverified information will have their mobile phone numberswithdrawn on May 15./.
