Nearly 800 join “Race for Green Life”

Nearly 800 runners, both professional and non-professional, joined a 5km race around the Hoan Kiem Lake in the very heart of Hanoi on October 30 morning.

Hanoi (VNA) –Nearly 800 runners, both professional and non-professional, joined a 5km race aroundthe Hoan Kiem Lake in the very heart of Hanoi on October 30 morning.

Held by the Ministry ofIndustry and Trade, the “Race for Green Life” is a communications event on thesustainable way of life within an action plan by the ministry to implement thenational action programme on sustainable production and consumption for the2021-2030 period.

A representative of theministry said it is striving to conduct various activities to push up thedevelopment of sustainable production and consumption models towards developinga circular economy in Vietnam.

Through the event, theministry hoped runners will serve as ambassadors who spread in the community themessage of a sustainable way of life which is friendly to the environment./.

Ministry proposes seven-day 2027 Lunar New Year holiday

Under the Ministry of Home Affairs' proposal, civil servants and public employees in Vietnam would receive five statutory days off, including two days before and three days after the Lunar New Year.
