New bridge links Long An with Cambodia’s Prey Veng

The Mekong Delta province Long An held a ceremony on July 8 to inaugurate the Huu Nghi (Friendship) Bridge 2, which connects the locality and the Cambodian province of Prey Veng, Nhan dan newspaper reported.

Construction on the 80m long and 4.5m widebridge started in June last year and finished in March 2015, at a costof more than 10 billion VND.

The bridge spans the Cai Cocanal and links Road 819 in Hung Dien commune, Tan Hung district withRoad 103 in Cham commune, Com Pung T’ro Bek district in Cambodia.

The bridge is expected to boost socio-economic development in Tan Hungand Com Pung T’ro Bek districts and improve links between the twolocalities.-VNA

Hanoi proposes subsidies to accelerate shift to electric vehicles

Under a draft resolution currently open for public feedback by the municipal People’s Committee, residents with permanent or temporary residence registration in Hanoi for at least two consecutive years, who own petrol-powered motorbikes registered before the resolution takes effect, will be eligible for support when purchasing electric motorbikes priced at 10 million VND or more.
