New generation e-textbook debuted

A new generation electronic textbook named Classbook was released in Hanoi on April 18.
A new generation electronic textbook named Classbook was released in Hanoi on April 18.

The device contains the full content, which can be updated free ofcharge, of more than 300 textbooks from grade 1 to 12, plus a number ofreference books in accordance with the curriculum standards of theMinistry of Education and Training.

The productis also loaded up with a number of applications helping users atdifferent grades interact with the content of many subjects.

Notably, it is integrated with the Vietnamese version of the “Shapingthe way we teach English” programme of the US’s Oregon State Universityfor educators, a teacher training programme, and English lessonscompiled by the University of Languages and Foreign Studies under theVietnam National University in Hanoi.

It is hoped to provide Vietnamese students with a modern way of study in the digitalisation era.

The launching ceremony was held by the Vietnam Education PublishingHouse, Intel Corporation, the US Embassy and the University of Languagesand Foreign Studies.-VNA

FLC appeal hearing postponed, giving more time for compensation

After discussions and listening to opinions from lawyers, defendants, and victims present at the trial, the judicial panel stated that postponing the appeal hearing for Trinh Van Quyet, ex-chairman of FLC Group, is necessary to ensure the rights of the victims. The postponement aims to give the defendants and their families more time to pay compensation for victims and those with related rights and obligations.
