A 1.55 billion VND (7.75 million USD) nursery school funded by the Bretagne Vietnam Association in France was inaugurated in Phu Xuan village, in Phu Vang district of Thua Thien-Hue province on November 6.
The two-storey pre-school facility care for 70 toddlers and can also double up as an emergency shelter for local people during the wet season.
The association had earlier presented 50 bicycles to disadvantaged pupils from the village.
In recent years, it has supported other parts of the province by carrying out humanitarian projects worth over 3 billion VND.
Since May 2012, the association has provided learning and training facilities for disabled pupils at the provinces vocational training centre and also built bio-gas converters for 30 families in Quang Dien district.-VNA
