Nguyen Van Duoc re-elected VWVA chairman

Sen. Lt. Gen. Nguyen Van Duoc was re-elected Chairman of the Vietnam War Veterans’ Association (VWVA) for the sixth tenure, 2017-2022, on December 14.

Hanoi (VNA) – Sen. Lt. Gen. Nguyen Van Duoc wasre-elected Chairman of the Vietnam War Veterans’ Association (VWVA) for thesixth tenure, 2017-2022, on December 14.

The association’s sixth national congress, whichopened in Hanoi the same day, elected 98 members of the VWVA Central Committeein the sixth tenure.

Later, the new VWVA Central Committee convenedits first meeting, choosing 22 members for its standing board.

While Nguyen Van Duoc was re-elected Chairman ofthe VWVA, Nguyen Van Dao, Nguyen Song Phi and Nguyen Van Chuong were chosenvice chairmen of the association.

The VWVA is a political-social organisation thatis a member of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. It gathers more than 3 millionmembers nationwide.-VNA
