Nha Trang –Khanh Hoa sea festival slated for June

The Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa sea festival 2017, the eighth of its kind, will take place in the south central province of Khanh Hoa on June 10-13, with nearly 50 social, cultural and sport activities.

Khanh Hoa (VNA) – TheNha Trang – Khanh Hoa sea festival 2017, the eighth of its kind, will takeplace in the south central province of Khanh Hoa on June 10-13, with nearly 50social, cultural and sport activities.

They include salangane’s nest,fish worship festivals, competitions on fishing and search and rescue at sea.

A new event is the traditionalcuisine competition in which visitors could enjoy free food.

The Nha Trang tourism vocationaltraining college plans to cook the largest pot of seafood porridge to seekGuinness Vietnam recognition.

Sport activities such as beachvolleyball, football and swimming competitions are also planned for.

As part of the biennial festival,Khanh Hoa Salangane’s Nest Company is scheduled to hold an internationalscientific seminar themed “Sustainable development of Vietnamese salangane’snest sector”.

Around 150,000 visitors areexpected to visit Nha Trang for the occasion.

The first festival of this kindwas held in 2003./.
