Atan investment promotion conference held in Ho Chi Minh City on March25, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Luu Xuan Vinh saidNinh Thuan is the first province to employ foreign consultants to designa socio-economic development master plan through 2020 and constructionplans for Phan Rang-Thap Cham city and coastal areas.

The province will focus its resources on developing the four economicpillars of clean energy, tourism, agriculture-fishery-forestry, andprocessing & manufacturing.

To attractdevelopment investment, Secretary of the local Party Committee NguyenDuc Thanh stated that Ninh Thuan will make every effort to improve itsinvestment and business environment through improving the efficiency ofthe Economic Development Office and implementing a project to raise theprovincial competitiveness index.

Secretary ofthe Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Le Thanh Hai suggested the localitycarry out preferential investment and trade policies to attractinvestors, including those from Ho Chi Minh City.

Ninh Thuan has granted investment licences to 293 projects with atotal registered capital of over 95 trillion VND (4.37 billion USD) todate. Ho Chi Minh City businesses alone are running 56 projects worth 16trillion VND (736 million USD).-VNA

Vietnam’s CPI rises 4.52% in first nine months of 2026

Speaking at a press conference in Hanoi on October 3, NSO Director Nguyen Thi Huong said the CPI in September rose 0.62% from the previous month, mainly due to higher domestic fuel prices following global energy price movements and tuition fee increases at some universities and private schools for the new academic year.
