Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam has no new case of COVID-19 to report on May 20 afternoon, which means the country has gone through 34 straight days without any community transmission as of 6pm on the day.

According to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, the national COVID-19 tally now stands at 324, with 264 having recovered.

Among the total, 184 are imported cases and were quarantined upon their arrival in the country.

The British pilot, known as Patient No. 91, who is being treated at the Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ho Chi Minh City, currently has no fever but stable pulse and blood pressure, improved lung function, and he breathes on a ventilator. He will be transfered Cho Ray Hospital for intensive care.

There are 7,945 people kept in quarantine at present, including 331 at hospitals, 5,187 at other quarantine facilities, and 2,427 at home./.
