OCOP Fair and Flower Festival open in Quang Ninh

The One Commune One Product (OCOP) Fair and Flower Festival opened on January 18 in Quang Ninh province to introduce traditional agriculture products of the locality for Lunar New Year.

Quang Ninh (VNA) - The OneCommune One Product (OCOP) Fair and Flower Festival opened on January 18 in thenorthern province of Quang Ninh to introduce traditional agriculture productsof the locality for Lunar New Year. 

The OCOP fair gathers 150 booths, of which 100 presentlocal products while 50 display products from 21 other provinces and citiesacross the country such as Hanoi, Hung Yen, Bac Giang, Lang Son and Lam Dong,among others.

Products on display include food and beverages,medicinal herbs, clothing and services.

The fair, held by the provincial Department ofIndustry and Trade and the new-style rural construction committee, aims to promoteproduction and boost tourism and services, helping increase farmers’ income andraise awareness of Quang Ninh’s OCOP programme.

The same day, the Spring Flower Festival tookplace at the Quang Ninh Exhibition of Planning and Expo Center.

The festival displayed various flowers andplants such as tulips, orchids, peach blossoms and kumquats, among others, at264 booths.

The OCOP fair will run through January 24 whilethe Spring Flower Festival will close on January 27.-VNA
